Camelot is forecasting a “sales frenzy” when the first Euro Millions Tuesday draw occurs this week with a jackpot of a massive £85 million.
This first Tuesday jackpot would see a sole winner achieve wealth on a par with pop star Robbie Williams, who was valued at £85 million in The Sunday Times Rich List 2010, and only just behind George Michael, whose wealth is estimated at £90 million.
Camelot said: “Each of the 28,500 National Lottery Retailers across the country have stocked new playslips ensuring players can get their tickets before the 7.30pm draw break on Tuesday”.
“The £85 million mega jackpot marks changes to the game which are designed to create bigger jackpots and even more winners.”
The introduction of the Tuesday lottery draw is just one of a number of changes to the Euro lottery, which includes a whole new prize level of approximately £2.70 for matching 2 main lotto numbers. There will now be eleven Lucky Star numbers as opposed to 9.
If no single ticket matches all five main numbers and 2 Lucky Star numbers to secure the jackpot in the initial Tuesday draw, then it will roll over to the Friday Euro lottery draw on May 13.
There will also be 2 guaranteed millionaires created by the EuroMillions Millionaire Raffle weekly in the UK.
